Open Letter Petraeus to Troops

General David H. Petraeus, Multi-National Forces – Iraq commander, thanked U.S. military and Coalition force members for their sacrifices during recent operations in an open letter.

Petraeus said that the letter, dated Sept. 7, is a detailed description or what Coalition forces have accomplished or have yet to accomplish as he and Ambassador Ryan C. Crocker finalize their assessment for presentation next week to Congress.
