“What is evident is that those interested in online tend to be adult learners whose interest is the degree or learning, not necessarily the socialization. Additionally, eLearners Advisor finds that, despite the common view that most adults go back to school to improve their earnings, it is not always about the money. In fact, the top three reasons stated for obtaining an online degree were 1) qualifying for a new position or career, 2) a personal interest or goal and 3) because it provides a more convenient way to earn a degree.”
